Playing the Guitar

Before I could even walk, I was beating around on a guitar. My papaw is one of the best guitar players that there has ever been. Unfortunately, he had a stroke and isn't able to play like he once could. If you know Chet Adkins, then you know what I'm talking about when I say finger picking. That's the style my papaw played and has taught me to play. Playing the guitar is something I love. Finger picking is a style that isn't around much anymore. People just quit doing it and went to the straight pick. That is why finger picking is so unique. Since I can finger pick, I can also play like Keith Urban or anyone that plays the straight picking style. In 2008 for my thirteenth birthday, I was able to make my first CD. That was an awesome experience. Being in the studio and recording with my papaw, uncle Eddie, and brother Dustin was really cool. For many years now, I have played the guitar for my church. Playing the guitar takes a talent that I'm glad I have, and I'm really glad that my grandpa has taken the time over the years to teach me everything he knows.
